Stream ToolsGuide
An honest breakdown of what each tool does, where it matches Twitch, and where it goes further.
The honest take
Stream Tools keeps the pages that add something beyond Twitch’s own dashboard — stream info, chat tools, and channel-point rewards with presets and setup links. For everything else (polls, clips, moderation, raids, schedule), use Twitch’s creator dashboard directly; MCP is an optional layer if you want those controls from an MCP client like Claude.
Open the dashboardStream Management
Core tools for controlling your live stream.
Update your title, game, and tags. Essentially what Twitch’s dashboard already does — we’re a clean 1:1 mirror with everything on one page.
Drop a marker in your VOD timeline. Identical to pressing the Twitch hotkey. Handy when you want a quick bookmark without leaving this dashboard.
Engagement
Interactive features for your viewers.
Create and manage custom rewards. We go a bit further than Twitch here: preset templates for common rewards (Mog Cam, TTS, highlight requests, etc.), inline editing without page reloads, and a redemption queue per reward.
Beyond Twitch
This is one of the genuinely useful dashboard pages. The preset system means you can set up a Mog Cam or TTS reward in two clicks with a shareable setup link.
Spin a wheel of killers, survivors, and challenges — random build spins, adept rolls, and an OBS overlay viewers watch land live. No Twitch equivalent; this one is entirely ours.
Chat
Send messages and manage chat settings.
Send a message or announcement to your channel’s chat via the REST API. This is NOT a live chat client — you can’t read incoming messages or have conversations. It’s a one-way broadcast tool.
Beyond Twitch
Useful for quick announcements from the dashboard. MCP can also send messages programmatically if you want automated shoutouts or announcements.
Toggle slow mode, emote-only, follower-only, subscriber-only modes. Same toggles as Twitch’s chat settings. We add preset slow-mode durations for quick switching.
Usage Ideas
- Quick stream setup: Open Stream Info, update your title and game, and drop a marker when something worth revisiting happens. Faster than navigating Twitch’s multi-panel dashboard if you already have this site open.
- Two-click rewards: Use the Channel Points presets to stand up a Mog Cam or TTS reward, then share the setup link so the whole thing is reproducible on another channel.
- Optional — voice control: If you connect MCP, you can say “create a poll asking what game to play next” and your MCP client handles the API call — polls, clips, moderation, and raids all stay available as MCP tools even without dashboard pages.
